New Audi TT Coupe Unveiled in Berlin


The new TT Coupe was unveiled during a Audi AG ceremony in Berlin. The CEO of Audi AG, together with German football stars, unveiled a supersized TT sculpture, 10 meters long and weighing 10 tonnes being in an outdoor sculpture display called "The Walk of Ideas." Of course there were also two real-life TT Coupes which were drove into the display area through the Brandenburg Gate. Audi TT Coupe was chosen to celebrate Germany as the birthplace of the automobile.

New Audi TT Coupe - Technical Info Highlights

over 5 inches longer and 3 inches wider than the last TT
powered spoiler deploys at about 75 mph
2 2 coupe is the only model for now, a roadster will follow later
choice of two drivetrains: FWD with a 2-liter, 200 hp, direct-injection turbo four-cylinder or Quattro AWD with a 3.2-liter naturally-aspirated V6 making 250 hp
standard 6-speed manual, optional S-tronic dual-clutch 6-speed
best performance configuration: 3.2-liter Quattro with S-tronic transmission - 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.7 seconds (0.2 sec. quicker than the standard transmission V6)
